2021 SUMMER CAMP
The Camp is open to children aged 9 to 12 years inclusive and is run by an experienced voluntary organisation; staffed by volunteers who have a wide range of experience in schools, university, and the wider world of work. We also offer a number of subsidised places for children from low income families.
All places for Aspiring Leaders are now taken. If you would like to join a waiting list for cancellations please email us at:
Hurray - our children’s bookings are open!
Bookings for summer camp are going really well and the Covid news is looking positive so time to get excited about the summer! There are places left for Aspiring Leader volunteers and children but not for long.
Aspiring Leaders – We have closed our bookings for Aspiring Leaders but we have a small number of places left. If you would like to book, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Children – We only have 55 places left. Camps 1,2 and 6 are closed. Camp 3 will be full soon and there are places on camps 4 and 5 and we still have assisted places at £20.50 available. Please book as soon as you can as places are going quickly.
We recognise that families are really struggling at the moment. So, if you are not eligible for an assisted place but are sending more than one child, we will offer a £20 refund for other children in the family. They must be brothers or sisters in the same
family. You will be able to apply for refund after you have made all your bookings.
We hope that this helps our children and families and hope that we will see you all in the summer. Please be assured that our planning for the summer will follow government guidelines and best practice. We will do all we can to keep your children
If Covid starts to go in the wrong direction and we have to cancel then, like last year, we will refund all the money paid.
See you in the summer!

Work with us!
We offer a programme for aspiring young leaders to come to camp and learn new skills.
For decades we have been supporting young people to complete their Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award (D of E)
We can offer a residential volunteering experience for young people completing the D of E Gold Programme.
The Community Foundation For The People Of Kirklees
Kirklees Summer Play Camp has been supported with a funding grant from One Community, the Kirklees Community Foundation
Every child’s place at summer camp is subsidised as we know that all families struggle with the cost of childcare and activities in the summer. We need to raise around £3000 per year to keep our cost as low as possible and invest in new kit and play equipment each year. Please help us by fundraising in any way you can.
You can also help us by shopping online through easyfundraising and naming us as your charity – Kirklees Summer Playscheme Camp. It adds 2 clicks to your shop but raises money for us each time. It has all the big retailers and online shops on the website. www.easyfundraising.org.uk
