2021 SUMMER CAMP
The Camp is open to children aged 9 to 12 years inclusive and is run by an experienced voluntary organisation; staffed by volunteers who have a wide range of experience in schools, university, and the wider world of work. We also offer a number of subsidised places for children from low income families.
It has been a difficult year for everyone and we hope that you and your families are keeping safe. We are now starting to plan for next year and we are really looking forward to being back on site with the children.
We have agreed the dates for next year ASPIRING LEADERS and CHILDREN dates. Booking will open in the new year. If you would like to reserve a place please email firstname.lastname@example.org stating the number of children or Aspiring leaders, the dates you require and the bus (Dewsbury or Huddersfield) you will use. We will then reserve your places. When we open bookings we will email you to ask you
to confirm your booking by completing the form and paying for a place.
We are introducing 2 temporary changes for the children’s bookings for next year only.
First, we will accept some bookings for children who are 13. To be eligible you should have booked your child onto Camp 2020, or had intended to, and it would have been their last year at camp. You must be sure that they are able to follow the Camp Code of Conduct and that when they have attended in the past, they have followed the Code of Conduct.
Second, we recognise that families are really struggling at the moment. So if you are not eligible for an assisted place but are sending more than one child we will offer a £20 refund for other children in the family. They must be brothers or sisters in the same family.
We hope that this helps our children and families and hope that we will see you all next summer.

Work with us!
We offer a programme for aspiring young leaders to come to camp and learn new skills.
For decades we have been supporting young people to complete their Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award (D of E)
We can offer a residential volunteering experience for young people completing the D of E Gold Programme.
The Community Foundation For The People Of Kirklees
Kirklees Summer Play Camp has been supported with a funding grant from One Community, the Kirklees Community Foundation
Every child’s place at summer camp is subsidised as we know that all families struggle with the cost of childcare and activities in the summer. We need to raise around £3000 per year to keep our cost as low as possible and invest in new kit and play equipment each year. Please help us by fundraising in any way you can.
You can also help us by shopping online through easyfundraising and naming us as your charity – Kirklees Summer Playscheme Camp. It adds 2 clicks to your shop but raises money for us each time. It has all the big retailers and online shops on the website. www.easyfundraising.org.uk
